| Maslow's Hierarchy of Essentially Survival Needs: D-needs (deficit needs) | ||
| 1st / Highest priority | physiological survival (inner needs) | oxygen/(breathing), water/(regulate body), food/(energy), sex/(reproduction) |
| 2nd Highest | safety & security (boundary) | personal safety (protection/ shelter) |
| 3rd Highest | outer needs (esteem) | love/attention and belonging/community (i.e. Marriage) |
| 4th Highest | moral respect | Golden rule |
| Purpose: Self-actualization of the Individual. B-needs (being needs) | ||
| thirst for knowledge | ||
| aesthetical order | ||
| beauty | ||
| self-actualization | ||
| "Transcendence" to higher levels in order to find the fulfillment of helping others. (God's Will) |
Under 2nd level needs (safety and security) women are led to believe that the government and government institutions such as Police departments will always be there to protect them. Apparently that was not the case in New Orleans when Katrina unleashed mother nature's fury. Wonder how many women (single mothers) were there placing their confidence on the Government. Guaranteed that many father ran household fared much better!
The women themselves have been psychologically conditioned (brainwashed), and are now emotionally overwhelm that somehow they don't have enough logic to see beyond the lie when they believe that an out of shape total stranger will be the best substitute for a real loving husband, father, boyfriend, etc. Trust me when I say that too many policemen are now extremely out of shape. I know because I passed all the police exams until right before the medical.
Note: Did the the police chief not lie to a group of people stationed outside
the Police Headquarters by telling them that there were bus waiting or
coming across the "bridge"
Several things are associable with "self-actualization" - being
independently confident in meeting life's challenges - in choosing between that
which is more and that which is less worthwhile - and in feeling that one's time
has been used creatively and inventively.
The Abraham Maslow hierarchy of need theory was later adapted to include
a greater complexity in the area of self-actualization. Under this adaption
human needs included a thirst for knowledge and a need for aesthetical order and
beauty prior to self-actualization and a "Transcendence" need beyond
self-actualization where people would feel a need to help others to find
fulfillment.
-- Abraham Maslow first influenced by the work of Harry Harlow who was
experimenting on the behavior of Rhesus monkeys.
